This is a big moment for me: my first post since picking the camera back up after more than a decade away.

Years ago, photography was my life. I spent countless weekends shooting weddings, capturing those perfect, joyful moments. Then, life happened—I set down the camera, thinking I'd closed that chapter for good. But lately, I've felt a pull back to photography, this time purely for the joy of it.

Now, I'm only photographing what truly inspires me: beautiful cars, sleek motorcycles, and landscapes—especially scenes from my beloved hometown, Chicago. There's something uniquely captivating about this city—its architecture, its energy, its blend of history and innovation.

In this photo, one of my first since returning, I captured a peaceful moment downtown. The iconic Chicago River gently guides a tour boat beneath the towering skyscrapers—a reminder of why I fell in love with photography in the first place. It feels amazing to reconnect with my city through the lens.

Beyond landscapes, I have a new passion project: whenever I spot stunning cars or motorcycles parked around the city, I snap a few photos, print them instantly, and leave them behind as a surprise for their owners, tucked neatly into a little gift bag with prints, a custom keychain, and some stickers. It's my way of sharing the joy and giving back a bit of happiness.

Photography now is purely about enjoyment, passion, and connection. By day, I navigate networks and infrastructure as a penetration tester, but through photography, I explore creativity, community, and genuine human connection.

It feels great to be back. Here's to capturing life's passions—one frame at a time.
